Stone Voices is from a body of work inspired by contemporary design and Celtic Neolithic standing stones and markings.

Rings, hollows and spirals decorate the landscape of Mid Argyll.  These mysterious carvings show us the places which held significance for people living thousands of years ago.  But what happened there? Were they places for meeting, exchange or celebrations? Did the carvings link people with their gods or ancestors, or did they convey messages about the landscape itself?  By combining contemporary design, ancient markings with repetition I pay homage to pre-history, the time before historic records existed.

My work is directed strongly by my passion for travel, history and expresses in a symbolic way influences from many cultures.
